After Lord Ram returned to his kingdom from exile, Narada Muni instructed Hanuman to greet all the sages at the court. However, Narada Muni cunningly misled Hanuman into believing that he should not greet Sage Vishwamitra. Hanuman, following Narada Muni’s orders, greeted all the sages except Vishwamitra, who did not take offense. But Narada Muni, with the intention of creating discord, provoked Sage Vishwamitra.
Vishwamitra, incensed by Hanuman’s perceived disrespect, charged up to Lord Ram and demanded that Hanuman be punished with death. As a former student of Sage Vishwamitra, Lord Ram could not ignore his guru’s command. Consequently, he ordered Hanuman’s execution by arrows.
The next day, Hanuman was taken to a field for his execution. Astonishingly, none of the arrows shot at him harmed him because he continuously chanted Lord Ram’s name. Even when Lord Ram prepared to use his special weapon, the Brahmastra, against Hanuman, the chants shielded him. Finally, realizing Hanuman’s unwavering devotion, Narada Muni confessed his deceit to Sage Vishwamitra, leading to the halt of Hanuman’s execution.
This captivating episode highlights Hanuman’s unyielding faith and Lord Ram’s commitment to his guru’s command. 🙏🏽
